Director Duties

Build Curriculum

Develop a world-class curriculum that is relevant for your community and at the forefront of current dentistry issues, techniques and practices. By utilizing the support and resources available from the national office, you tap into well-vetted materials, programs and processes.

Identify Club Member Needs

We recommend routinely talking with members to identify their needs, in both the professional and personal arenas, and then identifying opportunities to meet them. That may be through the provision of a particular program or exploration of a highly important topic or concern. We see this as an opportunity to educate the complete clinician.

Build Relationships

Much of your focus should be dedicated to relationship-building with clinicians and member doctors, to the point of planning for such opportunities both inside and outside club events. This is a cornerstone of operations because it affects both retention and recruiting efforts.

Build the Future of Dentistry

Sorry to dump such a large job in your lap, but there is no clearer way of saying that your role helps create lifelong learners, enhances comprehensive treatment planning skills, and builds connections between clinicians. And while you have taken on an admittedly large task, the payoff is equally large—you develop strong relationships with your referring doctors. So while you’re strengthening the future of dentistry, you are also strengthening the future of your practice.
